West Nipissing police are looking into several crimes. Inspector Ray St. Pierre says in one case, a thief broke into a home in the Sand Hill Road area of Sturgeon Falls and walked off with $500 and liquor. And police had to charge a couple for violating their bail conditions as a result of an argument between the pair. Police broke up the argument and then learned the couple were under a court order not to talk to each other as a result of an incident last May. In another case police have charged a woman with fraud and public mischief after getting a report that the woman’s girl was stolen when in fact it wasn’t.
