Thibeault asked to resign as energy minister

Sudbury MPP and Energy Minister Glenn Thibeault was peppered with resignation questions from the Tories during Question Period on Tuesday.  Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli demanded Thibeault resign after the Crown alleged he wanted something in return to run for the Liberals in Sudbury.   The allegation came on Monday when a bribery case began in Sudbury.  Fedeli says Thibeault is doing a disservice to Ontarians by sticking around as energy minister while the bribery case is before the courts.  He says Thibeault is distracted and can`t focus on resolving the hydro crisis that his party created.   However, the Liberals deflected the issue by claiming the Tories were involved in their own back-room deal.  Deputy Premier Deb Matthews said secret negotiations went on between the Tories and a candidate in Scarborough Rouge River during that riding`s August by-election which the Conservatives won from the Liberals.
