No, the United States has not taken over West Nipissing although some residents might be wondering why American flags are flying at the West Nipissing Recreational Complex. It’s for a movie now being shot. The film is called “Love on Ice” and will air around Valentine’s Day as part of a Hallmark TV movie. Mayor Joanne Savage says with shooting underway, the producers are looking for some extras. The casting call is November 20th at Memorial Gardens in North Bay. Shooting will last about two weeks and take place overnight. It’s expected that the cameras will roll from 11:00pm nightly to about 5:00am to 6:00am.
