Residents in Nipissing District have a chance to learn more about preventing falls this week. Two events have been organized in North Bay to coincide with Falls Prevention Month. From 10:00am to 2:00pm, the Indian Friendship Centre is the site this Wednesday where nursing students from Nipissing University will talk about home safety. The centre will also have several booths about falls prevention. On Thursday, an occupational therapist talks about home safety at the Grande Event Centre from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
