This is Treaties Recognition Week, the first time Ontario has held the event to raise awareness about First Nation issues. Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation Minister David Zimmer says Ontario is recognizing past wrongs against Aboriginal communities. He says the province is committed to future change for the better. Zimmer says one goal of this week is to help people understand the role that treaties play in our everyday lives.
