Rash of break-ins hit West Nipissing

West Nipissing police have arrested an adult and two young people after the Minnehaha Bay complex was broken into.  Inspector Ray St. Pierre says the individuals got into the building by smashing a window and once inside, they had a field day.  Charges against the trio include possession of property obtained by crime and theft over five thousand dollars.  Police recovered some of the stolen property at a Second Street home.

West Nipissing police are also trying to find who broke into the municipal community complex.  The culprits got in by forcing open a steel door.  An employee coming into work discovered the weekend break-in.  Police say offices were ransacked and several electronic devices were stolen.  Meanwhile police are investigating several residential break-ins in Sturgeon Falls were electronic items were stolen and in one case a thief broke into a home and walked away with cannabis.
