As we get closer to snowmobile season, there’s word about the creation of a Snowmobile Tourism Destination Plan. The Northeastern Ontario Community Network is developing the initiative. The goal is to turn the north into an international snowmobile mecca. To that end, the network is holding a two day summit this Thursday and Friday in Cochrane for snowmobile related organizations. One area addresses how to improve snowmobile products and services now offered in the north. Several guest speakers will also talk about how to get the word out that Northeastern Ontario is open for snowmobiling to the world.
