There’s a tie this year for the Public Health Champion Award as determined by the Sudbury and District Health Unit. The unit is recognizing the group Our Children, Our Future and Monique Mercier of Sudbury. A volunteer, Mercier has worked on numerous projects in the city that include young and old. Sudbury-based, Our Children, Our Future pushes nutrition and food programs and is looking at how to resolve food security issues.
