Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre has been named a member of the Standing Committee on the Status of Women. And the decision is being applauded by the Sudbury group, Business and Professional Women. Group spokesperson, Carol Stahl says her organization is looking forward to working with Serre to advance the status of women. The Status of Women pursues several initiatives including working with other agencies to ensure a woman facing domestic violence has help.
