Gelinas again hammers away at slow cleanup of Mattagami River

France Gelinas is again drawing attention to last year’s oil spill in Gogama’s Mattagami River.  The Nickel Belt MP doesn’t like the length of time it’s taking or how the clean-up is being handled.  However Environment Minister Glen Murray says the clean-up has to follow a process.  He says removing the sediment, which may contain oil, has to be done in a way that doesn’t affect the fish.  Gelinas believes the longer the clean-up takes, the more time the remaining oil has to spread into other waterways.
