Area police have made a small dent in the drug trade following a series of raids on homes in Mattawa. Police seized 140 marijuana plants from several grow ops with a street value of $185,000. They also confiscated cash, firearms and ammunition. Six men and women face a variety of gun and drug related offenses. The raids involved police from several area detachments and a canine unit.
