On Tuesday, seniors in the area can learn how to empower themselves. A one-day conference in North Bay will hear from an advocate of the elderly will talk about protecting yourself from fraudsters. The expert is Judith Walh, a lawyer. Inspector Ray St. Pierre of the West Nipissing police says Wahl will focus on a wide range of topics including how to recognize fraudulent behaviour. The Seniors at Risk Network of North Bay and District has organized the conference. It’s at the Elk’s Club in North Bay and begins at 10:00am. The cost is $10 for seniors and $15 for providers and the cost includes lunch.
