West Nipissing police are dealing with a couple of assaults. Inspector Ray St. Pierre says in one incident a woman was invited to a home in Lavigne where an argument ensued and things just escalated to the point that one woman choked the other. The second assault took place at a house party in Sturgeon Falls. Another woman was charged with assault after a woman had a chair thrown at her.
