This is Child Abuse Prevention Month. During this time the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies will be raising awareness on the need to report child abuse. The CAS says many people don’t report abuse because they don’t want to be the one that breaks up a family. However the society says that in 97 percent of the abuse and neglect cases they investigate, the child remains with its parents.
