The NDP were hoping the Wynne Liberals could cut students a break with their student loans, but that’s not going to happen. France Gelinas Nickel Belt was hoping the Liberals could eliminate the interest. Gelinas says it’s not fair to saddle young people just finishing school and starting to work with more debt. She says an education should not be a burden and removing the interest off student loans is one of the first things the NDP would do as a government.
