Medical school trying to attract more health professionals

A drive is underway to attract and retain health care professionals in the north.  The Northern Ontario School of Medicine has signed a deal with a marketing and recruiting firm to increase the north’s access to more health professionals.  The joint deal will look into recruitment and retention obstacles and increase the number of physician educators.  But the primary goal is to get more doctors into remote and rural regions and to serve more First Nation communities and Francophones.  The three year agreement runs to June 2019.
