Inheritance scam back in the north

The inheritance scam is making its round in the north again.  This time the scammer is a fake accountant from the U.K. who tells you a Canadian who lived in the United Kingdom has died and left $3.8 million.  The accountant says because there aren’t any immediate relatives, the money defaults to you because of your distant relative status.

The accountant asks you to send him personal information so he can get the ball rolling on handing over the money.  The scam has shown up in North Bay and police are telling the public, don’t fall for the letter because there is no dead, wealthy relative.  Police say all the con artists want is personal information about you so they can rob you in some way.
