The community arena in St. Charles has been given $33,000 from FedNor. It’s from the Canada 150 part of the funding agency to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday next year. The grant will be used to rehabilitate and enhance the arnea. Marc Serre of Nickel Belt made the announcement. Meanwhile, Serre has another Canada 150 announcement coming Tuesday. The location is the Sturgeon River House Museum in Sturgeon Falls at 1:00pm. Serre calls the announcement important and one that affects the West Nipissing region.
