The Municipality of West Nipissing needs to negotiate a new garbage contract for Verner and Lavigne. The current three year agreement has expired and the contractor is looking for an increase. Although the municipality will negotiate with the contractor, whatever deal is reached won’t take effect until next year. That’s because the current budget was struck months ago and it doesn’t take into account any garbage rate increase for 2016.
