West Nipissing Security has been hired to reconstruct the docks in Lavigne and Cache Bay. The cost is $224,000. The Cache Bay dock, which includes a fixed portion and 150 foot floating section, costs the most at $137,000 and the dock in Lavigne will cost $87,000. Staff recommended the local firm be awarded the work saying the owner has extensive experience with docks. West Nipissing Security will do some of the work now and break over the winter before completing both docks by the end of next March.
