Someone has again pointed a laser at a plane flying overhead. This time it happened west of Sudbury in the Massey area. OPP in Espanola say someone hit a U.S. military plane that was 36,000 feet up with a laser beam. Police are again reminding people about the dangers of pointing lasers at planes because they can temporarily blind the pilot and cause a crash. The federal crime is so severe that if caught, you can be imprisoned for up to five years or get a maximum $100,000 fine or both.
