The Literacy Alliance of West Nipissing is getting $143,000 in federal aid. The grant is for a job placement program that helps young people who face barriers when trying to find work. Under the program, small to medium-sized businesses are given resources to hire and train people who have a tough time becoming gainfully employed. Riding MP Marc Serre announced the funding on Wednesday.
