The West Nipissing General Hospital is a big winner in the latest round of hospital announcements. The hospital is getting $2.5 million from the province to spend on its infrastructure. The Ministry of Health is giving 22 hospitals in the northeast almost $15-million towards replacing or upgrading things like lighting and ventilation as well as for windows, roofs and in some cases buying back-up generators.
