DNSSAB uses contingency plan for cheques during mail dispute

The District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board is no longer mailing monthly cheques to recipients.  It’s to avoid delivery delays until the labour dispute with Canada Post and its employees is resolved.  Recipients will have to pick up their social assistance cheques at the local Ontario Works office until further notice.  And where possible, the board suggests signing up for direct bank deposits so the cheques go directly into your bank account.
