MP’s Marc Serré and Paul Lefebvre, on behalf of Minister Amarjeet Sohi, announced nearly four million dollars in funding for nine transit infrastructure projects that will be getting under way in Sudbury.
The funding is part of a new agreement with the Province of Ontario that brings a new federal infrastructure funding program into effect, the Public Transit Infrastructure Fund.
The Sudbury projects include the purchase of four 30-foot buses, building upgrades to the Transit Terminal, the rehabilitation of the transit maintenance and storage building and a route optimization study to analyze transit service performance.
