Several dignitaries and groups took part in the official opening of the Cache Bay Splash Park and Playground. Among them were Mayor Joanne Savage of West Nipissing. Savage says the facility will provide enjoyment for families and residents for many years. About 15 percent of the community’s population is under 18 and the site will give the young people a venue for lots of physical activity. The cost of the project was about $235,000 with money coming from the Trillium Foundation, the municipality and the Cache Bay Park Committee.
