The West Nipissing General Hospital has put the help wanted sign out. It’s looking to fill quite a few positions like registered practical nurses and registered nurses. The reason is a large segment of its workforce is 55 and over and looking to retire. Relocations are also creating upcoming vacancies at the hospital. The General also needs personal support workers.
It’s also looking for an occupational therapist, a geriatrician, part-time oncology nurse, a registered dietician and a rheumatologist just to name a few more positions. Applicants have submitted resumes from North Bay, Sudbury and also Southern Ontario. The General employs 258 people.
