Horwath would drop PST from hydro bills

An NDP government would knock eight percent off our hydro bills.  Leader Andrea Horwath made that commitment at the annual Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference in Windsor.  Horwath says she would make energy less expensive by removing the provincial sales tax component of the HST.

Horwath says there are underlying costs associated with hydro and adds she would remove these additional costs within the first six months in office.  Horwath says in just the short time that Kathleen Wynne became Premier, peak power rates have jumped by 50 percent.
