Former North Bay councillor passes away

The woman who had a park named after her in North Bay has passed away.  Eva Wardlaw was 88.  Wardlaw was a city councillor for nine years, an educator for 26 and she also served on the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority for 18 years.  The park on Lakeshore was dedicated to Wardlaw in 1997 to recognize her service on the conservation authority.

Councillor George Maroosis says Wardlaw believed in putting your best foot forward.  He says she was always positive, hated negativism and worked with all politicians.  In honour of Wardlaw, the city will fly its flag at half-mast.
