Collège Boréal has a new president

Daniel Giroux is Collège Boréal’s new president.  On Thursday, the college’s Board of Governors proceeded with the nomination of Daniel Giroux as the fifth president of Collège Boréal.  Mr. Giroux has close to 20 years of experience holding various high level positions at Collège Boréal, including the roles of Vice-President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the School of the School of Trades and Applied Technology.  His commitment to post secondary education extends to various committees and boards including Co-Chair of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development Services Advisory Committee.

Giroux holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University and won a Sudbury 40 Under Forty Award earlier this year.

He will assume his responsibilities on September 1st.

Collège Boréal’s Board of Governors would like to acknowledge Pierre Riopel for all that he has achieved during his mandate as president.
