Two people from North Bay face drug charges after a bust on the 2600 block of Trout Lake Road. Last Tuesday, North Bay Police Service executed a search warrant at a home as part of an ongoing investigation. Officers seized 54 grams of cocaine with a street value of just over $8000 dollars, $2900 in cash, drug accessories, and a taser designed to look like a cellphone. As a result, a 21-year-old man is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a prohibited weapon. A 31-year-old woman also faces a charge of possession of cocaine. Both were released from custody with court appearances scheduled for August 30th.
