Domestic violence charges laid after a man allegedly punched his female partner twice

A North Bay man is charged with domestic violence charges after punching his female partner twice.  North Bay Police Service investigated a report of assault that took place outside of a local restaurant early Tuesday morning where a verbal dispute broke out inside the restaurant which turned violent when the man punched the woman.  The man was evicted from the restaurant and the woman followed him, despite the staff’s attempts to stop her.  Police then heard the man punched her again outside the restaurant causing non-life-threatening injuries and she was transported to hospital by ambulance while he left the scene.

Officers arrested the 33-year-old man at his home yesterday and charged him with Domestic Assault and Domestic Assault Causing Bodily Harm.  He has been released from custody and will face his charges in court on July 26th.
