Dog leash enforcement underway at Laurier Woods

The North Bay – Mattawa Conservation Authority is cracking down on pet owners who don’t keep their dogs on a leash.  The enforcement is taking place at Laurier Woods and so far two people have been fined 95 dollars each for breaking the law.  The conservation area is made up six kilometers of trails and is used by many people from all walks of life.  The conservation authority says it’s not a place where dogs can run free or are allowed to their business without their owners picking up after them.
