Kitchener man missing after visit family cottage near North Monetville

Local police are looking for a man originally reported missing from the Waterloo area.  West Nipissing Police Service say 39-year-old Jason Prang was reported missing from Kitchener on Sunday as it’s believed he was hitch-hiking to a family cottage on Prang’s Lane off Highway 64 in the North Monetville area.  Yesterday morning he left the cottage with his belongings and police were called last night when his things were found along a roadway.  Officers searched the area with the help of the K-9 unit last night with no luck.  The man is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, balding with an unshaven face and his right thumb is severed.  He has medical issues that require him to wear a colostomy bag and he was last seen wearing a black pair of pants, blue and white cotton shirt, and hiking boots with brown and red laces.  Anyone who may have information about this man’s whereabouts is asked to call police immediately.
