A North Bay man has been hit with a $2,800 fine for keeping under-sized walleye from Lake Nipissing. Mitchell Busch was ice fishing on the lake this past January when he caught and kept nine small walleye. The court heard that Busch had hidden the walleye in a packsack when Conservation Officers paid him a visit. Lake Nipissing has a size restriction where anglers can’t keep any walleye that’s under 18 inches long.
