Resident calls for business impact study before casino approved

An opponent of the North Bay casino wants city council to study how it will affect businesses before council rubber stamps the facility.  Janet Zambalatti believes the casino will hurt area businesses because that’s where people will spend their disposable income.

She wants council to ask communities with casinos how the gambling dens affected their businesses.  Zambalatti says there’s as much as $34-million in disposable income in North Bay and she adds a casino will take some of that away at the expense of other businesses.
