The Pokemon Go phenomena is resulting in an advisory from police agencies. Police are asking pedestrians not to become distracted by the game on their cell phones. The Pokemon appears on your cell phone and using the phone’s GPS, you physically walk around in the real world trying to catch the character.
Police say some pedestrians have become so absorbed in the game that they’ve walked onto busy streets. Police like that the game promotes physical activity, but they add people need to be aware of their surroundings when playing it.
