Tips for staying cool during heat warning

A heat warning remains in effect for much of Northern Ontario and with the warning comes tips from the health units on how to stay cool.  The agencies say exposure to extreme heat and humidity can cause heat stroke so you want to drink plenty of water if you’ll be outside.

And when outside, wear a hat with a wide brim plus use sunscreen.  Also, make sure clothing is loose-fitting and consider re-scheduling outdoor exercising.  With the high expected to hit 30 today and combined with the humidity, the temperature will feel like it’s 35 degrees.
