Fedeli hopes for good turnout at inter-city transportation meeting

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli hopes a lot of people show up for a meeting in North Bay on inter-city transportation by the Ministry of Transportation.  The ministry wants public input on how to improve transportation.  Fedeli says this is an opportunity for voters to show the Ontario Liberals there’s a double standard in this area.

He says the Liberals easily cancelled the Northlander several years ago saying it was too expensive, but he adds it’s another matter when subsidizing trains in the south.  He says the Liberals subsidize a train from Mississauga to Union Station in Toronto to the tune of $40-million despite that nine of the 10 seats are routinely empty.   The July 26th meeting takes place at 1:00pm at Nipissing University.
