Young people have a chance to learn if the automotive trades are for them. The province will pay for a Motive Power Trades pre-apprenticeship program as long as you’re at least 16 years old. College Boreal in Sudbury and Timmins will begin offering the 29-week program beginning August 1st.
Classes include learning about heavy-duty equipment as well as truck and coach maintenance. There are also sessions on automotive mechanic and welding techniques. The program includes an eight week placement. Call the Sudbury campus at 560-6673, extension 3335 for more information.
