The Knit for the Cure for Breast Cancer raised more than $4,100 dollars in pledges in West Nipissing over the weekend. Despite the heavy rain at the start of the weekend, 30 participants worked their magic and made chemo hats and knitted knockers. All the money goes to the West Nipissing General Hospital’s oncology department. The event took place at Diane’s Creative Elements.
