Government engineers are still trying to figure out what caused the Nipigon Bridge to collapse back in January. The $106-million structure was only open for two months before the failure. Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson says tax payers are owed an explanation. Bisson says it’s worrisome that a new bridge would collapse so quickly because this raises the question of quality control.
