The flood warning remains in effect for the Mattawa River, South River and Pickerel River. The Ministry of Natural Resources re-examined all three rivers and says it can’t lift the warning. It’s because of all the rain the region got since Monday which is in the 30 to 50 mm range and more rain is forecast over the long weekend. Residents in the affected area are being told to take steps to protect their property from flooding.
