There will be no fireworks in Sturgeon Falls on Friday at the municipal beach to celebrate Canada Day. The Municipality of West Nipissing has been forced to cancel the July 1st event because of the area’s ongoing fire ban. The fireworks will be re-scheduled to another time.
West Nipissing will have more details in a few weeks. However, although the fireworks are cancelled, all other Canada Day festivities will go ahead July 1st, rain or shine. The events are taking place at the Sturgeon River House Museum and include a magician, petting zoo, live entertainment and colouring contest.
