A man from Brazil who was visiting North Bay is dead.
The body of 29-year-old Wanderlay Bento was recovered from Lake Nipissing Monday evening.The OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit located the body around 5:20pm.
They had been searching for him since Sunday afternoon.
Police say Bento was swimming off his boat about a kilometre from shore when he was pulled under the water by strong waves, and never resurfaced.
