The West Nipissing Lynx have announced their first head coach and he brings a ton of experience to the hockey bench. Dave Avery has more than 20 years of officiating in the OHL and junior leagues. Avery also played for the OHL and turned pro for a time. At one time he was also a North Bay Trapper. The team owners believe Avery’s experience can help build a strong team as the Lynx take to the ice for the first time in the upcoming GMHL season.
