Council wants Ontera deal stopped

North Bay council is unanimous in its decision that the province should reconsider the sale of Ontera to Bell Alliant.  Deputy mayor Tanya Vrebosch says the Wynne Liberals are creating a monopoly and she also wants to know why the government rejected the union’s proposal to keep Ontera within the ONTC.  Vrebosch says years from now a future government will realize it was a mistake to sell Ontera and it will spend millions to recreate the agency.  Councillor Mac Bain says the decision is short-sighted.
