Health Sciences North in Sudbury is trying to stop the spread of Type 1 diabetes. The hospital is holding a free clinic for families where at least one person has the disease. The hospital says there’s a 10 to 15 percent chance a family member or relative will develop Type 1 diabetes if someone in the family already has it. By catching it early, the end goal is delay its progression and eventually wipe it out. The free screenings are Tuesday, June 14th and to make an appointment call 1-866-699-1899.
