West Nipissing’s by-law enforcement officer believes more education is needed to tell people not to park in handicap spots if they aren’t disabled. Steve Clarke has issued seven tickets to people taking up accessible parking spaces and in some cases he’s nailed repeat offenders. Parking in accessible parking zones without a permit will get you a $300 fine. Including those seven tickets, Clarke has issued 58 tickets in total since January for various offenses including overnight parking.
