West Nipissing isn’t wasting any time getting the ball rolling to bring a new junior hockey team to Sturgeon Falls.  Mayor Joanne Savage says negotiations to reach an agreement with the new owner shouldn’t take long.  In fact residents can expect a deal sooner than later.  Savage says the new team will give area young people the chance to engage in a sport of a decent calibre.   The unnamed team would play under the Greater Metro Hockey League like the Lumberjacks did before they folded.   An announcement from the owner about the team is expected soon.
